Raising Support for Trust Women

At our inaugural event last fall, we gathered to support Trust Women, the independent Oklahoma City abortion clinic that was called on to provide care to a sudden surge of Texans, when SB8 went into effect and women there were effectively denied their fundamental right to an abortion. P.O.W.E.Repro recognized that Trust Women urgently needed to expand their capacity and given our long standing relationship with them, we sprung into action. We immediately convened our networks and provided an opportunity for them to hear directly from Trust Women’s Executive Director and to learn firsthand about the dire situation there and how we could help them meet these urgent needs.

According to Trust Women, the newly formed P.O.W.E.Repro network contributed significantly to more demand for services:

“we’ve been able to increase staffing and add additional patient care days in early 2022. Both our clinics are adding 1-2 clinic days each week for the first quarter of 2022. This is a significant increase in appointment availability and we would not have been able to take these steps without caring individuals like yourself. There are going to be hundreds of additional thankful patients thanks to you, and we cannot say thank you enough.”
